About Hypnosis and the Hypno Group

The Hypno Group practices professional hypnosis in a clinical setting, either in-person or via interactive online video sessions. A therapeutic technique and profession, our certified practitioners use hypnosis and other treatment specializations to give “suggestions” to clients who have undergone a safe and recognized procedure to focus their minds and relax them. Sessions are very “conversational” and you are aware and awake the entire time.

Our consulting hypnotists are licensed and certified, and members of the National Guild of Hypnotists as well as other professional organizations. We each have backgrounds in mental health and healthcare with diverse clinical and research backgrounds. See our “clinicians” page for information about our staff.

Most clinicians, medical and mental health professionals, and government health organizations now agree hypnosis can be a powerful, effective treatment for a wide range and diverse set of conditions, including pain, anxiety and mood disorders. Hypnosis can also help people change their habits, such as quitting smoking and losing weight. It is also effective at treating a wide variety of conditions such as bruxism (tooth grinding), sleep disorders, phobias, and stress.*

It is very safe, well-established, and effective, and often just a few sessions can achieve remarkable and lasting results in most people. We strive to help you create a happier, healthier life.

NOTE: Our clinicians are independent business owners and solely responsible for their own practices. The Hypno Group is a collective of professional clinicians practicing in similar and related fields, and each clinician has their own rates, clients, and services. Neither clients nor revenues or profits are shared among the group. Each clinician is bound by the state in which they reside and the relevant requirements, licensing, certification, education, and laws governing their practice.

We are certified members of the National Guild of Hypnotists.

Philosophy and Code of Ethics

We follow the Code of Ethics as set forth by the National Guild of Hypnotists, as well as the requirements for mental health professionals and healthcare workers in our respective states.

The Hypno Group clinicians and staff do not discriminate and we are committed to providing respectful, welcoming, unconditional positive regard for everyone, regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, veteran's status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.

We do not provide medical diagnoses nor recommend discontinuance of medically prescribed treatments.

Hypnotism means the use of trance and suggestion to adjust habits of thought, feeling and behavior. We use hypnotism with clients to motivate them to eliminate negative or unwanted habits, facilitate the learning process, improve memory and concentration, develop self-confidence, eliminate fears, improve athletic abilities, maximize skills, and for other social, educational, and cultural endeavors of a non-medical nature.

Confidentiality: We will not release any information to anyone without a written authorization from you, except as provided for by law. You have a right to be allowed access to our written records about you. Please note that we are supporters of reporting of child abuse laws and will report any such matters to the relevant state bodies.

The services rendered by The Hypno Group clinicians are held out to the public as non-therapeutic hypnotism, defined as the use of hypnosis to inculcate positive thinking and the capacity for self-hypnosis. We do not represent our services as any form of medical or dental health care or psychotherapy, and despite research to the contrary, by law we may make no health benefit claims for our services.

If for any reason during a client session, at the clinician’s sole discretion, we may terminate or refer a client to a different hypnotist if we think a client is not a good fit. If we feel a client is in need of mental health care or medical help, we will refer them to the appropriate professional.

The successes using my services and forms of treatment are dependent on many variables, including attitude, motivation, cooperation, practice and the attendance of schedule sessions. To reach the best results, Client must follow instructions provided.
